Calls RN for assistance as needed for patient care, patient safety or change in condition.

Has completed Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation annual training.

Patient Safety a.
Implements procedures for security, equipment safety and infection control.

Observes room for safe environment for patients, visitors and staff members.
Observes patient for any behavior that could indicate potential problems for patient or staff and alerts nursing staff immediately.

Ensures patient safety by following all fall prevention protocols.
d.
Abides by policies governing patient rights and responsibilities.
e.
Notifies nurse of witnessed or suspected abuse according to policy.

Qualifications:
Education and Formal Training Required:
High school graduate or equivalent Completion of Patient Sitter Training WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like.
Regular (up to fifty percent of work time) exposure to adverse working conditions due to unpleasant odors and certain distasteful patient care activities.
Exposure to contagious disease through direct contact with patients.
Exposure to contagious diseases through contact with patients.
Exposure Control Level I.
Education Required High School or better.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
