Main Objective:
Manage the complete global Arthrex Health Care Professional (HCP) engagement and transparency reporting process:
starting from overseeing a global needs assessment, consultant selection and engagement, fair market value (FMV) analysis, consultant compensation/reimbursement, and global transparency reporting. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Compliance Operations in Risk Management & Compliance. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Lead the HCP Engagement and Transparency teams responsible for managing Arthrex's overall HCP consultant engagement processes and global transparency reporting and disclosure processes to ensure compliance. Lead, manage and coordinate processes related to the HCP Needs Assessment process, including coordination with business units to determine and present annual need for HCP consultant services and individual HCP engagement. Own overall processes related to HCP interactions and work on related continuous improvement projects. Work closely with other internal business units to support overall management of the HCP consulting relationships. Oversee and manage fair market value assessment for global HCP consultant engagement. Maintain and enhance the process for tracking of all consulting services provided under the business units Needs Assessment as well as any modifications. Manage the HCP due diligence process to include communication with internal business and HCP consultant; collect, review, and verify required documentation and screening requirements. Collect, review, and verify payment documentation, and approve consultant electronic invoices and expense reports for HCP consultants. Facilitate issue resolution related to contracts and payments in a timely manner. Train HCP consultants and employees on systems and processes to ensure compliant interactions. Develop, manage and oversee implementation of policies, procedures and processes related to HCP engagement processes and global transparency reporting and disclosure requirements. Lead efforts to roll out transparency reporting systems to Arthrex international subsidiaries. Remain current with laws and regulations related to transparency reporting and identify areas of risk associated with these laws. Develop risk mitigation recommendations and collaborate to ensure appropriate implementation of necessary measures, and develop recommendations concerning regulatory changes, new reporting requirements, and proposed internal and external reporting modifications. Develop and implement effective training and communication initiatives related to transparency reporting for senior management, employees, HCPs and distributors/agents. Manage transparency reporting team and maintain detailed understandings of the end-to-end HCP spend-identification processes, associated spend collection processes and tools, and data reporting processes and tools. Coordinate with Compliance Auditing & Monitoring functions to provide periodic Arthrex HCP engagement and transparency reporting data analysis, including state and federal legislation reporting requirements by executing required reports, reviewing report results, identifying potential issues, reviewing issues with relevant business units, and working with Arthrex internal and external personnel to resolve identified issues. Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree required 5 years of experience managing or supporting HCP engagement processes in a compliance function strongly preferred 5 years of experience in Legal, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit required; preferably within the healthcare/life sciences/biotech industry.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate Finance, Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
