Maintenance Technician
Career Transitions, LLC is working with a client in Warsaw, IN who is seeking a full-time, 1st shift Maintenance Technician. The client is a leading global provider of products in their industry. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all machinery throughout the plant.
o Maintain and repair plumbing and electric throughout the plant.
o Prioritize the order in which to complete the tasks.
o Gain an understanding of the machines in each department.
o Make sure materials are readily available for the job.
o Update all completed work in the correct system and schedule.
o Assist in other plant operations.
o Complete clean-up responsibilities and maintain work station according to 5S procedure
o Perform work at or above pre-established performance objectives
o Demonstrate our five core values of Integrity, Customer Responsiveness, Innovation, Passionate Contribution & Empowerment and Continuous Improvement
o Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.
o Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the Company's business operations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
o Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
o Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, BOM's and associated procedures
o Ability to follow directions
o Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks
o Possess a mechanical aptitude
o Ability to identify and communicate basic process improvements
o Ability to work well in a team environment
o Proven reliability - attendance and punctuality
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
o Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years experience with facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Previous work experience is necessary for this position
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
